Lanta Island is another popular island in the area and is preferred by many for its laid back atmosphere, great unspoilt environment and overall better value. In the height of the season it may be a better plan to spend your time here rather than competing with the masses for a decent hotel room in Ao Nang. The island has a good range of hotels and bungalows, with enough space to give most of them privacy.
